Who is LTC Terry Lakin

Lieutenant Colonel Terrence (“Terry”) Lakin serves as Chief of Primary Care and Flight Surgeon for the Pentagon’s DiLorenzo TRICARE Health Clinic. He is the lead Flight Surgeon charged with caring for Army Chief of Staff General Casey’s pilots and air crew. LTC Lakin, selected for promotion to Colonel, is a native of Colorado, whose residency is Tennessee.

LTC Lakin’s numerous awards and decorations include the Army Flight Surgeon Badge, Combat Medical Badge, the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, the Army Achievement Medal with one Oak Leaf Clusters, the National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Service Star, the Armed Forces Expedition Medal, the Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon sixth award and the NATO service medal. He has served previously in Honduras, Bosnia, El Salvador, Korea, and Afghanistan.

For well over a year, LTC Lakin has asked through his chain of command and his Congressional delegation for proof that President Obama is Constitutionally eligible to serve as his Commander-in-Chief. He has explained to his superiors that he cannot understand how his Oath of Office to protect and defend the Constitution does not allow military officers to pursue this proof of eligibility.

LTC Lakin received military orders in late February for deployment to Afghanistan, including a requirement that he provide “copies of his birth certificate.” LTC Lakin is prepared to provide a certified copy of his certification of vital record that lists his birth hospital, physician’s name and other key information. He has provided this document for many other required processes, such as his commissioning into the military as an officer, his security clearance and his marriage license. He is the highest ranking officer to go public over this controversy and the first active duty officer to do so.

Since his election in November 2008, the circumstances of Obama’s birth have been a matter of bitter contention. At least nine other legal actions have been undertaken — all unsuccessfully — by so-called “Birthers” who believe the president is not a natural-born citizen, as mandated by Article 2, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution, which reads: “No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States … shall be eligible to the Office of President…” 

FACT: Four Supreme Court Cases and numerous established references, all support that a ‘Natural Born Citizen’ of the United States is a citizen born to US Citizen Parents. See references on this blog for the facts.

In 2008 the White House posted a copy of Obama’s Hawaiian birth certificate online, and announcements of his birth have been found in Honolulu newspapers dated August 4, 1961. 

FACT: The White House did NOT post the Obama forged COLB. It was originally posted on the DailyKos, and then Fight the Smears, and again on FactCheck. The birth announcements were posted later and are not legal documents and just because a birth announcement was posted in a local paper, means nothing. They are not legal documents and state nothing other then a birth took place not to where or other vital stastics such as the attending doctor, hospital, et.

But neither of these have stopped skeptics from charging that Obama, the son of a father from Kenya and a mother from Kansas, was born either in Kenya or Indonesia. By triggering a court martial, Lakin and his supporters hope to force the military to allow them to subpoena the White House for Obama’s “real” birth certificate in an effort to explain his motives for not following orders. 

FACT: NO one has stated that Barack Hussein Obama was born in Indonesia, he was adopted by another foreigner when his mother married Lolo Soetoro and moved to Indonesia and Barack Hussein Obama went by Barry Soetoro.  Indonesian school registration lists him as Barry Soetoro.

The following transcript is of an April 14, 2010 debate on the floor of the Kenyan National Assembly. The question under discussion concerns the repatriation of Kenyan artifacts which were removed from the country by colonialists. The Ministers want to know what is being done to return the artifacts, or failing their return, how and when Kenya will be compensated for their loss. They argue that museums in the US and elsewhere have earned money on these artifacts, thus those countries are indebted to Kenya. Importantly, in 2006, when Barack Obama visited Kenya, strategized with, and campaigned on behalf of Raila Odinga, the Senator also promised to help with the return of artifacts to Kenya or to seek financial compensation.

The most amazing question asked on the floor is by Dr. Bonny Khalwale, of the Ikolomani Constituency, and concerns the “repatriation” of Barack Obama! Dr. Khalwale’s remarks are highlighted in red in one of the paragraphs below the fold.

If I was allowed a vote in the Kenyan National Assembly, I would happily vote yea for repatriating Barack Obama to his “home country” (0:45). What say you?

Dr. Khalwale: Mr. Speaker, Sir, the Minister has told us that the office of the then Senator Obama gave him a lot of assistance. That is very good to hear. Could he tell us what commitment the same office made by way of compensation to this country because those artefacts in those museums have been attracting visitors who were paying to view them? What commitment did they make about compensation and more importantly, the biggest artefact in the USA today that belongs to this country is one Barrack Obama. How does he intend to repatriate himself or part of the money that is realized from all the royalties that he is attracting across the whole world?

The Assistant Minister for Roads (Dr. Machage): On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. Is the hon. Member right to refer to the President of the USA as an artefact? Mr. Speaker: Dr. Khalwale, you are out of order! The President of the USA cannot be classified as an artefact. You should withdraw and apologize. Kenyan official: Obama born here, “not even a native American.”

During debate over the draft of a new Kenyan constitution, James Orengo, the country’s minister of lands and a member of parliament for the Ugenya constituency, cited America’s election of a Kenyan-born president as an example of what can be accomplished when diverse peoples unite:

The Kenyan lawmaker told the nation’s parliament last month that Barack Obama was born in Africa and is therefore “not even a native American.”

The full quote; “If America was living in a situation where they feared ethnicity and did not see itself as a multiparty state or nation, how could a young man born here in Kenya, who is not even a native American, become the President of America? It is because they did away with exclusion. What has killed us here is exclusion; that once Mr. Orengo is President, I know of no other place than Ugenya. That is why we were fighting against these many Presidencies in the past. I hope that Kenya will come of age. This country must come of age. People want freedom and nations want liberation, but countries want independence.” It appears that the Kenyan Government has changed the location of the file.

So who is James Orengo?

James Orengo, (James Jimmy-Jimmy Owadgi Adhiambo Orengo) is a lawyer and former presidential candidate in Kenya. Orengo has since been sworn in as a Minister for Lands in the new Coalition Government formed by the National Accord Act of 2008. As of 2007 he is still the SDP chairman. The party supported Raila Odinga of Orange Democratic Movement at the 2007 general elections. Raila Odinga is the first cousin of Barack Obama.

A person’s ancestral home is a rather vague concept, which can be defined by the birth place of any of his or her patriline ancestors.

The Kenyan Parliment, official record, link posted on my blog, states the following:

Pg 3275; “Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the President-elect, Mr. Obama, is a son of the soil of this country. Every other country in this continent is celebrating the Obama win. It is only proper and fitting that the country which he originates from should show the same excitement, pomp and colour. I, therefore, seek leave of the House that we adjourn to discuss the issue”

Directly backing up, what country Barack Obama was born in, not ancestral, but which ‘HE’ originates from.

Continuing from the begining.

Dr. Khalwale: On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. You have heard none other than the Leader of Government Business acknowledge that because of Obama’s win in the United States of America (USA), the House is crippled.

Could we allow him to move a Motion for Adjournment so that we could also continue the celebrations of having a Kenyan ruling the USA? I humbly request!    *****[note – “having a Kenyan ruling the USA”!]

Mr. Deputy Speaker: Order, Mr. Vice-President! We are citizens of the Republic of Kenya! This is a supreme institution of this country. Our responsibility is to our country, first and foremost.

We are not citizens of the USA! Much as we appreciate and we are all happy; nonetheless we are a country ourselves.

So, it is not an excuse for a Minister to be away from his own Parliament, because he is celebrating the victory of another presidential candidate in another country.

The Assistant Minister for Water and Irrigation (Mr. Kiunjuri): Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, as you can see, people are really celebrating.

However, I am wondering whether the Americans have not reported to work and yet it is their victory.

I am also hoping that there will be no homecoming for Obama. If there is one, the Leader of Government Business should alert us in good time so that we can set up a committee to organize for his homecoming.  *[note – Obama having a Homecoming to Kenya!]
